Happy Friday!

Again, here comes the weekend.  Seems like without fail the weekend comes around and something's happening.  This weekend isn't big for me, but for Greg.  He l-o-v-e-s the first day of trout.  I must admit, I'm kind of bummed that I can't go along.  It looks like so much fun, and Greg always has a good time.  I know it's for the best.  That they usually go in some backwoods little hole, with no potty, and it's going to be all men.  I remember last year at this time.  The night before trout season started.  We both tried to stay up all night, and then at 2 am he left me.  I held onto him, begging him not to go.  (I even played dirty and tried to lure him with promises of things he likes.)  But nope, he went.  And caught some big trout.  He told me that he had some of the best trout he ever caught.

I can't believe in a year how much things have changed.

Here we are: 5 months pregnant, engaged, living together, and trying not to kill one another.  Last year he was unemployed.  Now I'm the one without a job and he's the one who's bringing home the bacon.  (only when the bacon is on sale, of course)  Greg and I went through a lot the past year.  People trying to get in between us.  The loss of a child.  We had to deal with me being sick, and not knowing what will happen.

I probably couldn't do it without him.

I kind of love that man a lot.  I hope he knows.  He got my heart now, forever and always.

Let me just say that craigslist is pretty effing awesome.  We bought a crib back in like January (?) for real cheap.  When we went to go see it, it looked pretty good, and it had the main feature that I wanted.  I wanted a drop side, and they are hard to find.  It looked old, it looked like it was used well and the price was pretty good.  Well fast foward to now when I see newer cribs that I love.  And then I realize that our first purchace wasn't such a great one.  The crib we first bought would have done the job, but it wasn't in my mind, safe.  Even the couple we bought it from said they got it from a second-hand store.  So, on the side Greg and I started looking for a new one.

And last night, we found it.  It is beautiful.  It's cherry.  :)  (And of course they already took down the ad)  The only thing it doesn't convert to a toddler bed, but that's okay.
It's gorgeous.  And I'm going to make it look like a million bucks.

'Cause Mommy is getting excited for the little one.  I'm offically saying it's one week until we find out the gender.  The other women I know who are due in August already found out what they are having...so I better find out too.  Or I'll be majorly upset.  :)

I'm off to greet the day.  I think I'm gonna go for another walk today.  It's just too beautiful not to go out.

Until Next Time:

so what are you going to do with the first crib? lol I'm excited for yard sales this summer - I finally have a reason to buy baby clothes! yay! :)

And as for the blog design? I realized through the whole process this week, that I know how to do everything she did (and usually charges people for). So if you want one, just lemme know.

You can look through digital scrapbooking stuff on here: www.summertimedesigns.blogspot.com.That's where she got all of the images from.

I love the look of the older cribs, but I too worry about whether I need a newer (aka safer) one - but does new always mean safe? I'm not even pregnant yet, I just love the look of antiquey cribs!

Stopping by from SITS!
